TO BE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING
RESCHEDULING & LATE ARRIVALS
At Ellie’s Exposures, I understand that life happens and schedules can change. To ensure the best experience for all clients, please review the following policies regarding rescheduling and late arrivals.
Rescheduling Policy
- Clients may reschedule their session with at least 24 hours’ notice at no additional charge.
- Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled session may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new session date if proper notice is given.
- In the event of severe weather, illness, or emergencies, accommodations may be made at my discretion.
Late Arrival Policy
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled session to ensure we have the full amount of shooting time available.
- Clients arriving late may have their session shortened in order to avoid impacting other scheduled appointments.
- Arrivals more than 15 minutes late without communication may be considered a no-show and could require a new booking fee to reschedule.
- If you know you will be late, please contact me as soon as possible.
Photographer Delays
If I am delayed for any reason, I will communicate promptly and make every effort to provide the full session time or arrange accommodations if necessary.
CANCELLATIONS
At Ellie’s Exposures, I value the time and commitment of every client. Please review the following cancellation policy before booking your session.
Cancellation Policy
- All session deposits/retainers are non-refundable and secure your reserved date and time.
- Clients who need to cancel their session should provide notice as soon as possible.
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session may apply their deposit toward a future booking within a specified timeframe.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session may result in forfeiture of the deposit and may require a new retainer to rebook.
- No-shows or same-day cancellations without communication are non-refundable.
Emergency Situations
- I understand emergencies happen. In cases involving illness, family emergencies, or severe weather, exceptions may be made at my discretion.
Photographer Cancellation
- If I must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, clients will receive the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of any payments made.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
At Ellie’s Exposures, a deposit is required to secure all photography sessions and ensure your date and time are reserved.
Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit/retainer is required at the time of booking.
- Sessions are not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- Deposits will be applied toward the total session balance.
- Deposits may be transferable to a rescheduled session if proper notice is given according to the rescheduling policy.
Payments
- The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Accepted payment methods may include cash, online bank transfer.
- Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the session and forfeiture of the deposit.
Late Payments
- Any balance not paid by the agreed due date may be subject to late fees.
- Final edited galleries and images will not be delivered until full payment has been received.
Additional Fees
- Additional charges may apply for extended session time, travel, rush editing.
- Any additional fees will be discussed and approved before services are provided.

REMINDERS
At Ellie’s Exposures, reminders are sent to help clients stay informed and prepared for their upcoming session.
Appointment Reminders
- Clients will receive a reminder prior to their scheduled session date and time.
- Reminders may be sent via text message, email, or direct message depending on the contact information provided at booking.
Client Responsibility
- It is the client’s responsibility to review all reminder messages and arrive prepared for the session.
- Receiving or not receiving a reminder does not change the client’s responsibility to attend the scheduled appointment on time.
Session Preparation
Reminder messages may include:
- Session date, time, and location
- Outfit or preparation recommendations
- Weather updates for outdoor sessions
- Remaining balance/payment reminders
- Important session details or updates
- Communication
If any information in your reminder appears incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible so adjustments can be made before your session.

PREPARATION
At Ellie’s Exposures, proper preparation helps create a smooth, relaxed, and successful photography experience. Please review the following recommendations before your session.
General Preparation
- Hair, makeup, and grooming should be completed before arriving to your session unless professional services have been arranged separately.
- Arrive on time and fully prepared to maximise shooting time.
- Bring any planned outfits, accessories, props, or inspiration ideas with you.
- Please ensure clothing is clean, wrinkle-free, and ready to wear.
Newborn Session Preparation
To help create a calm and comfortable environment for newborn sessions:
- Please try to ensure babies are fully fed before the session begins.
- Bringing extra bottles, formula, pacifiers, diapers, wipes, blankets, and backup outfits is highly recommended.
- Dress babies in loose-fitting clothing prior to the session to help avoid marks on the skin.
- Newborn sessions may require extra time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes.
Children & Family Sessions
- Children should arrive rested and fed whenever possible.
- Bringing snacks, drinks, comfort items, or small rewards for young children is encouraged.
- Parents are encouraged to help maintain a positive and relaxed atmosphere during the session.
Outdoor Sessions
- Please check weather conditions beforehand and dress appropriately for the season and location.
- Comfortable shoes are recommended for sessions involving walking or uneven terrain.
Unprepared Arrivals
- Clients arriving unprepared or needing additional preparation during session time may have reduced shooting time depending on scheduling availability.

image delivery
At Ellie’s Exposures, every gallery is carefully edited with attention to detail to ensure the highest quality final images.
Turnaround Time
- Standard session galleries are typically delivered within 1–3 weeks unless otherwise stated.
- Wedding, event, or specialty sessions may require additional editing time.
- Clients will be notified if unexpected delays occur.
Gallery Delivery
- Final images will be delivered through an online gallery or digital download link.
- Galleries may remain active for a limited time, so clients are encouraged to download and back up their images promptly.
- Ellie’s Exposures is not responsible for lost files after gallery expiration.
Sneak Peeks
- Select sessions may receive sneak peek images before full gallery delivery at the photographer’s discretion.
Editing Style
- By booking a session, clients acknowledge they are familiar with and accept the editing style of Ellie’s Exposures.
- Final images are edited at the photographer’s artistic discretion.
RAW/Unedited Images
- RAW or unedited images are not included and will not be released under any circumstances.
- Only fully edited final images selected by the photographer will be delivered.
Additional Edits
- Requests for additional retouching or extensive edits beyond standard editing may be subject to additional fees.

copy rights & printing
All images created by Ellie’s Exposures are protected under copyright law.
Copyright Ownership
- Ellie’s Exposures retains full copyright ownership of all photographs taken during any session.
- Images may not be sold, altered, edited, filtered, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
Client Printing Rights
- Clients receive a personal-use print release for delivered images.
Personal-use rights allow clients to:
- Print photos for personal use
- Share images on personal social media accounts
- Save and store digital images for personal use
Restrictions
Clients may not:
- Claim images as their own work
- Edit or apply filters to delivered images
- Submit images to contests, publications, or businesses without written permission
- Use images for commercial, advertising, or resale purposes without licensing approval
Social Media Sharing
- Clients are welcome to share their images online.
- Credit/tagging Ellie’s Exposures is always appreciated when posting images on social media.
Printing Quality
- Ellie’s Exposures is not responsible for print quality, color variations, or image appearance when prints are ordered through third-party labs not recommended by the photographer.
